Blog Commenting - Another FREE Traffic Boosting
Technique
Blog commenting is another very useful technique
that you can use to bring extra traffic to your site and if you have an affiliate site to
increase the links pointing to
it.
There are 2 main
benefits to blog commenting.
Firstly to add a
signature to your comments which will contain an affiliate link back to
HalfMarathon-Training.com and secondly if you have your own affiliate website, to build
back links to your website because doing this will also increase your sites Page Rank.
If you're planning to
use blog commenting to send other blog readers through
your affiliate hoplink to HalfMarathon-Training.com, then you need to ensure that you are
posting on well trafficked sites and on posts
that are already getting comments.
There is very little traffic driving benefit to
dragging up old posts to comment on, so use up to date posts only.
Don't forget your call to action or signature
which you need to include at the end of every post. If you haven't already seen how to do this
you can read all about it here - Forum
posting.
The following article describes how to make the most of blog commenting to provide inbound
links..
Blog Commenting - An Easy and Effective Way to
Get Back Links
There are thousands and thousands of blogs on
the internet that allow guests to post comments and participate in discussion. When you do so, you
have the ability to leave a link back to your website and this can be very effective over time and
with enough consistency. Here are a few tips to make sure that you are getting the most out of your
blog comment links.
As
I stated above, the goal here is to be consistent with picking up these links by commenting each
and every day. Set a goal for yourself to hit x amount of comments each day. It may seem like a
tedious task, and it is, but it really doesn't take more than a few minutes and it will be more
than worth it when you see the benefits of this linking strategy.
Many people will tell you that it is
absolutely vital that you pick up links from relevant blogs, but from my experience I can say that
it really doesn't have to much bearing whether they are relevant or not. I comment only on blogs
that I want to read and have something worthwhile to say and have seen nothing but positive results
and my back links increase with doing so. So don't worry if you are linking to a site about dogs
when you are commenting on a cooking website... a back link is a back link.
Probably the best piece of advice I can give
you about blog commenting is that you need to comment on different blog platforms. You will get the
best results if you spread your links around to all the different platforms like WordPress,
Blogspot and others.
Another important note you should take from
this article is that you need to get back links from "no follow" blogs also. Remember that the
search engines want natural links and it won't look too natural if you are only getting links from
"do follow" blogs. This is why I never check or care about whether the blog is "do follow" or
not.
Last but certainly not least, do not use the
same piece of anchor text in your back links.
Switch it up early and switch it up often.
Think about how others would link to your website and what kind of anchor texts they might use.
Throw a "click here" text in there every so often to make it really seem natural.
